简介： The globular star cluster 47 Tucanae。This bright cluster of stars is 47 Tucanae (NGC 104), shown here in an image taken by ESO’s VISTA (Visible and Infrared Survey Telescope for Astronomy) from the Paranal Observatory in Chile. This cluster is located around 15 000 light-years away from us and contains millions of stars, some of which are unusual and exotic. This image was taken as part of the VISTA Magellanic Cloud survey, a project that is scanning the region of the Magellanic Clouds, two small galaxies that are very close to our Milky Way. 这颗明亮的星团是47颗图卡纳星（NGC 104），图中所示为ESO的VISTA（天文可见和红外观测望远镜）从智利巴拉那天文台拍摄的图像。该星团距离我们约15000光年，包含数百万颗恒星，其中一些恒星不同寻常，充满异国情调。这张照片是维斯塔麦哲伦云调查项目的一部分，该项目正在扫描麦哲伦云区域，这两个小星系非常靠近我们的银河系。
